Eli's Field Study

Date: November 29, 2022 Temperature: 53º Weather: Chilly, windy Length of day: 9 hours 19 minutes     There are now pretty much no leaves to be seen on the trees, and they are all bare. I saw just a couple berries still on the bushes, but that was it really. The leaves on the ground are not very colorful anymore, and you can tell it is winter, or about to be. I did a deer in the brush next to the pond, and I also saw some birds in the trees. Overall there is just not much color here except the grass, all the trees and everything else have lost their color and leaves and berries for the most part, and are preparing for winter.  Sketch of the pond

 Date: November 15, 2022 Temperature: 33º Weather: Cold, snowing Length of day: 9 hours 45 minutes     A lot has changed since the last time I visited my field study location. Almost all of the leaves have fallen off of the trees, but there are a few that have some left on them, that are still falling off. Today was the first major snowfall of the winter, and all of the trees and bushes were covered in snow. The pond was also as high as it was last time, which was higher than the previous 3 times I visited. I did not see any animals today, and I heard just a few birds in the trees. Pretty much all of the berries on the bushes are gone except just a few.  Sound map from today

 Date: October 31, 2022 Temperature: 53º Weather: Cloudy, foggy, cool, slight rain Length of day: 10 hours, 21 minutes     So many leaves have fallen off of the trees, and a lot of the trees are starting to become bare. Almost the whole ground is covered in brightly colored leaves. The pond's water level was a lot higher because it had rained the night before. Some things I heard and saw were the leaves falling down from the trees, raindrops falling off of the trees, squirrels in the trees, and along with birds. 

 Date: October 15, 2022 Temperature: 50º Weather: Partly cloudy, windy, chilly Length of day: 11 hours 5 minutes     A lot of the leaves have changed colors. They are completely different from the last time I went. A lot of the leaves are also falling off the trees, leaving some trees bare already. Some organisms I heard were birds and cicadas. I also heard lots of leaves rustling in the wind as it was pretty windy. Around the pond was muddy as it rained the night before. 

Date: September 28, 2022 Temperature: 55º Weather: Cloudy, breezy, chilly Length of day: 11 hours 53 minutes     Some organisms I saw were squirrels, slugs, beetles, and a rabbit. I heard lots of birds, crickets and cicadas. In the pond I could see the little water bugs on top moving around. The grass, leaves and plants have gotten a little darker shade of green since the last time I visited. The leaves are starting to turn color.
